Plesk: Disable SPF, DKIM, and DMARC

Introduction

This article provides step-by-step instructions on how to disable SPF, DKIM, and DMARC validation in Plesk. This ensures that email reception via our Email Protection works smoothly, without any unwanted delivery issues or restrictions caused by the standard Plesk security checks.

Prerequisites

  • creoline Email Protection
  • Server with Plesk pre-installed

Please note that adjusting these settings may lead to potential security risks when receiving emails if you are not using our Email Protection for your server.

Disable Email Checks

Log in to the Plesk Control Panel to disable the checks. Our Help Center article at Logging in to the Plesk Control Panel shows you how to log in to your Plesk Control Panel

After logging in to the Plesk Control Panel, navigate to Tools & Settings → Mail Server Settings and select the menu item to open the mail server settings.

In the mail server settings, you’ll find the sections “DMARC, DKIM Spam Protection, and SPF Spam Protection,” as well as “Spam Protection Based on DNS Blackhole Lists.” Uncheck the boxes next to the items listed above and then save the settings by clicking the “Save” button.

Afterward, the Plesk server will no longer perform DMARC, DKIM, or SPF checks when receiving emails, as these are handled entirely by our Email Protection service and no further checks are possible.
