Set up JTL Worker

Foreword

In this article, we explain how you can set up JTL Worker as a Windows service for your JTL Wawi.

Prerequisites

  • JTL-Wawi server



Set up JTL-Worker as a Windows service


First connect to your JTL-Wawi server via Remote Desktop.

Then use CTRL + R and enter powershell.exe to open a PowerShell and then execute the following command:\n

New-Item -Name "JTL-Software-GmbH" -ItemType Directory -Path "C:\Users\jtl-wawi\AppData\Local\"


If the user jtl-wawi does not exist for you, simply replace this part of the path with your user name.


Then open Explorer and navigate to the following directory:

C:\Program Files (x86)\JTL-Software



Then search for the following file:

C:\Program Files (x86)\JTL-Software\JTL-Worker Windows Service Install.bat


Execute the above file as Administrator:


In the following JTL login mask, enter the access data for the user to be used and confirm the login:



In the next step, use the access data of the desired Windows user to set up the JTL Worker as a service for this user. Then use the Install button to complete the setup of JTL Worker as a Windows service for the desired user:




Check the operability of the service


Then use CTRL + R and enter services.msc to start the Windows service management.

Then navigate to the JTL-Worker service, use the right mouse button and then the Start button to start the JTL-Worker as a Windows service.


Then open your JTL-Wawi application and log in to it with your user.

Via the top menu bar Admin → JTL-Worker-Status you can now see whether the JTL-Worker is working correctly:
