Setting Up JTL-Worker
Introduction
In this article, we’ll explain how to set up JTL-Worker as a Windows service for your JTL-Wawi.
Prerequisites
- JTL-Wawi server
Setting Up JTL-Worker as a Windows Service
First, connect to your JTL-Wawi server via Remote Desktop.
Then press CTRL + R and type powershell.exe to open PowerShell, and then run the following command:\n
New-Item -Name "JTL-Software-GmbH" -ItemType Directory -Path "C:\Users\jtl-wawi\AppData\Local\" If the jtl-wawi user does not exist on your system, simply replace this part of the path with your Windows username.
Next, open File Explorer and, if you are using JTL-Wawi 1.XX.YY, navigate to the following directory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\JTL-Software If you are using JTL-Wawi version 2.X.Y, please use the following path instead:
C:\Program Files\JTL-Software\JTL-Wawi If you are using JTL-Wawi 1.XX.YY, please look for the following file:
C:\Program Files (x86)\JTL-Software\JTL-Worker Windows Service Install.bat If you are using JTL-Wawi version 2.X.Y, please use the following path instead:
C:\Program Files\JTL-Software\JTL-Wawi\JTL-Worker Windows Service Install.bat Run the file mentioned above as Administrator:
In the JTL login screen that appears, enter the login credentials for the user you want to use and confirm the login:
In the next step, use the login credentials of the desired Windows user to set up the JTL Worker as a service for that user. Then click the Install button to complete the setup of the JTL Worker as a Windows service for the desired user:
Verifying Service Operability
Next, press CTRL + R and enter services.msc to launch the Windows Services management console.
Next, navigate to the JTL-Worker service, right-click it, and then click the Start button to start the JTL-Worker as a Windows service.
Next, open your JTL-Wawi application and log in with your user account.
From the top menu bar, go to Admin → JTL-Worker Status to check whether the JTL-Worker is running correctly:
