Network setup
Depending on the selected network interfaces, manual steps are required for the initial network setup of Windows servers.
Display network configuration
In the Customer Center, navigate to the Network tab to determine the correct configuration of the network cards. In the "Available IP addresses" area, you can determine the correct configuration for the IPv4 protocol and the IPv6 protocol.
WAN network
After the initial deployment of the Windows Server, call up the Web console of the server and follow the instructions of the Windows Installer.
Then navigate to the existing network cards and open the adapter options.
Then select the menu item Properties →Internet Protocol, Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
Enter the IPv4 address, the subnet mask and the default gateway, which are displayed in the customer center. You can use the public servers from Google, Cloudflare or from us as DNS servers, provided you do not use an additional NAT gateway.
Example:
# Google
8.8.8.8
8.8.8.8
# Cloudflare
1.1.1.1
# creoline
5.1.73.73
You can find more information about our Public DNS service in the article: creoline Public DNS.
Save the changes using the OK button.
You can then call up ip.creoline.com in the pre-installed Google Chrome browser to verify that the settings have been applied correctly.
For the correct configuration of the IPv6 protocol, repeat the steps and select the menu item Internet Protocol, Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) in the adapter properties.
