Configuration files
Preface
For all creoline servers we offer the option of editing selected configuration files directly in the customer center. This also includes versioning so that changes can be reset within a very short time.
Requirements
- Managed server
- Service with configuration option
Please note that the option to customize configuration files via the configuration module may need to be enabled by our support team. Please contact our support team, who can then check whether the configuration file can be activated.
Configuration file overview
Adjustments can be made under your server in the Configuration files area.
If the area is not visible, the reason is that you have not yet requested a configuration file for this server from Customer Support (see: Prerequisites).
You can open and customize the desired configuration file via the "Edit" button. A text editor view then opens in the browser in which the changes can be made.\n
Edit configuration file
To save the file, enter a change message (e.g. "Version 1") and then select the Save changes button highlighted in blue. The changes are then automatically saved on the server and tested.
If the change to the configuration requires the service to be restarted, it is automatically restarted in the background.
Restore configuration files
In the editing window of a configuration file, you will find the Versions tab on the right-hand side, which contains a list of changes that have been made. A previous version can then be restored using the clock symbol.
The selected version can then be restored using the Restore version button highlighted in blue.
