Installing Webmail in Plesk

Introduction

If Webmail is not enabled in your Plesk Control Panel, you can install it on the server at a later time. This Help Center article shows you how to do this.

Prerequisites

  • Plesk server

Install Webmail

To install a webmail service (Roundcube or Horde) on the server, navigate to Tools & Settings → Updates.

A new window will open here. There, you can use the Add/Remove Product Components button to access the product component management interface and install or remove components later.

Under the “Webmail services” category, you can select Roundcube or Horde and start the installation by clicking the Continue button. This may take some time.

After installation, Roundcube or Horde must be configured for use on the respective domain.

Configuring Roundcube & Horde

To use the webmail service you just installed, you must first set it up for the respective domain. We use “Roundcube” or “Horde” as the standard webmail service here.

To do this, click “Tools & Settings” in the Plesk Control Panel, then click “Webmail.”

Make sure that “Roundcube or Horde” is enabled here.

After enabling the respective webmail service, you can configure its use for the respective domain under Email → Email Settings → respective domain.

Once you have selected the previously installed webmail service here, you can save the settings by clicking the Apply button.
