Set up JTL API

Foreword

In this article, we explain how you can set up the JTL API as a Windows service for your JTL Wawi.

Prerequisites

  • JTL Wawi server



Set up JTL API


First connect to your JTL-Wawi server via Remote Desktop.

Then open Explorer and navigate to the following directory:

C:\Program Files (x86)\JTL-Software


Then search for the following application:

C:\Program Files (x86)\JTL-Software\JTL-Administrator.exe


Run the above application as Administrator (right mouse button + Run as administrator) and select the Wawi-API option under Create:


In the following window, enter the access data for the Windows user to be used and specify the other connection information. We recommend that you use an alternative port instead of the standard port 5883 (e.g. 50883 or similar). In addition, you must create a certificate via the Create certificate button, which can be used by other applications to establish an HTTPS connection. Then confirm the details using the Save button:
