Custom hostname
If you use a user-defined host name for your server, an SSL certificate is required so that the IMAP, POP3 and SMTP protocols can be used without error messages. Use the user-defined host name as the server for IMAP, POP3 and SMTP.
Wildcard SSL certificate
When integrating a wildcard certificate, you can use different server names for all protocols. For example: imap.company.de or smtp.company.de.
Please note that the various subdomains must resolve to the IPv4 address and IPv6 address of your server.
