Plesk: Deactivate SPF, DKIM and DMARC

Foreword

This article explains step by step how to deactivate the SPF, DKIM and DMARC check in Plesk. This will ensure that receiving emails via our Email Protection works smoothly without any unwanted delivery problems or restrictions caused by the standard Plesk security checks.

Prerequisite

  • creoline E-Mail Protection
  • Server with Plesk pre-installation

Please note that adjusting these settings can lead to potential security risks when receiving emails, unless you use our Email Protection for your server.

Deactivate e-mail checks

Log in to the Plesk Control Panel to deactivate the checks. You can find out how to log in to your Plesk Control Panel in our Help Center article under Logging in to the Plesk Control Panel.

After logging into the Plesk Control Panel, navigate to Tools & Settings → Mail Server Settings and select the menu item to open the mail server settings.

In the mail server settings you will then find the items "DMARC, DKIM spam protection and SPF spam protection". Remove the checkmarks in the above points and then save the settings using the "Save" button.

The Plesk server then no longer performs a DMARC, DKIM or SPF check when receiving emails, as this is carried out completely by our email protection and no further check is possible.
