Plesk: Enable DKIM
Introduction
DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) is an identification protocol used to ensure the authenticity of email senders.
Prerequisites
- Server with the Plesk Control Panel
- Access to the domain’s DNS zone
Enabling DKIM in Plesk
First, log in to your server’s Plesk Control Panel, then navigate to the email settings under Websites & Domains → domain.de → Email → Email Settings.
Next, make sure the checkbox next to “Use DKIM spam protection system to sign outgoing email messages” is checked.
If the option “Use DKIM spam protection system to sign outgoing email messages” is not enabled, you can check the box and save the settings by clicking the Save button.
Add the DKIM Key to DNS
After enabling the option, the DKIM key will be available under “External DNS Configuration”. Here you’ll find all the information you need on how to create the required DNS record.
Sample DNS Entry
Please note that the DKIM key in your Plesk Control Panel differs from the one shown in this example. Please use the DKIM key displayed in your Plesk Control Panel.
