Migration Service

Introduction

We offer new and existing customers a free* migration service to our servers. To request the migration service, simply select the Migration Service option during checkout. If you’d like to use the migration service for an existing creoline server, please feel free to contact us via our Live Chat or through our ticket system.



Components Covered

Our migration service fully migrates the following components to our servers:

  • Folders and files
  • MySQL, MSSQL, and SQL databases
  • Commercial SSL certificates
  • IMAP and POP3 email accounts
  • Web server settings
  • Cron jobs
  • Systemd services (e.g., Shopware Message Queue Consumer)



Prerequisites

  • SSH, SFTP, or FTP access to the source application
  • Free disk space on the source server
  • Access to the DNS management of the associated DNS zones
  • creoline server on the “Managed” support level



Process


  1. Request the migration service (via order or our support team)
  2. Coordination of the relevant components
  3. Scheduling
  4. Execution of the migration
  5. Final check


After requesting the migration service, you will receive a form from us where you can specify which components should be migrated to the creoline server. We will then verify that all components can be migrated without issues and schedule a date with you for the actual migration.


Please note that, depending on the component, temporary login credentials for the respective services may be required. Our support team will request these before the migration and will delete them completely after the migration is successful.


During the migration, all passwords for server services will be replaced with new passwords for security reasons. Our support team will store the new passwords directly in the password vault of the corresponding server.



Scheduling

To ensure a smooth and quick migration, we’ll schedule a migration appointment with 48 hours’ notice. We’re also happy to perform the migration outside of our business hours upon request. Migrations outside of our business hours are billed via Remote-Hands.
