Customize Hardware Profile

For our managed servers, we provide a simple and flexible way to customize the hardware profile. The configuration can be made at any time and with flexibility, regardless of contract terms.

Caution: Please note that adjusting the hardware profile will immediately trigger a server reboot. If this is a production server, the adjustment should be made at a convenient time.

Adjusting V-CPUs and RAM

First, log in to our Customer Center at account.creoline.com and select the server for which you wish to adjust the V-CPU cores or RAM.

Next, navigate to the Overview tab and select one of the “Customize Hardware Profiles” buttons.

Use the sliders to set the new number of V-CPU cores and the amount of RAM in GiB. Then review the preview of the contract adjustment to determine the new monthly price for your server.

You can then place the paid order by clicking the Adjust Hardware Profile button. The adjustment will be implemented immediately and billed starting with the next contract period. If the server has a remaining contract term, the upgrade will be prorated over the remaining term, as the upgrade takes effect immediately. The prorated charge will be listed on the corresponding invoice as “One-time contract adjustment.”

You will receive a separate email with the order confirmation.

Adjusting the hardware profile will cause the server to restart. If the server is in production, please schedule a short maintenance window.

Frequently Asked Questions About Hardware Profile Adjustments

How long does the upgrade or downgrade take?

The hardware adjustment triggers a server restart in the background. The actual downtime is typically no more than 30 seconds.

Can the hardware adjustment be reversed?

Yes, you can make adjustments in either direction multiple times during the current contract period.

Can I upgrade to more than 32 V-CPUs or 128 GiB of RAM?

Yes, please contact our support team so we can coordinate an upgrade.

How are the costs of the one-time contract adjustment calculated?

The additional costs resulting from the hardware upgrade are prorated over the remaining term of the contract. The remaining term is rounded down in your favor and calculated in proportion to the additional costs.

Is the one-time contract adjustment also applied in the event of a downgrade?

Yes, if you perform a downgrade (e.g., reducing the number of vCPUs, RAM, or removing an additional hard drive), you will receive a pro-rata refund for the remaining contract term. The maximum refund in the form of the one-time contract adjustment cannot exceed 80%.

Please also note that a negative prorated contract adjustment cannot be used for a cash payout. If you cancel the server after the contract adjustment but before the contract renewal, the credit resulting from the hardware adjustment will be forfeited.
