Custom Hostname

If you are using a custom hostname for your server, an SSL certificate is required so that the IMAP, POP3, and SMTP protocols can be used without error messages. Use the custom hostname as the server for IMAP, POP3, and SMTP.

Wildcard SSL Certificate

When integrating a wildcard certificate, you can use different server names for all protocols. For example: imap.company.de or smtp.company.de.

Please note that the various subdomains must resolve to your server’s IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.
