Introduction

This Help Center article describes the initial setup of our Netmaker pre-installation to ensure an easy start with our unmanaged solution.

Initial Setup

Create Your First VPN (Virtual Private Network)

After logging in for the first time, Netmaker will prompt you to create a VPN network. This network allows you to communicate with all devices that will later be connected via the Netmaker client.

Assign any name you like to your network and, in the IPv4 step, use the Auto-fill button to automatically generate an IPv4 network. You can leave the IPv6 field blank. Complete the creation of the first network by clicking the blue Create and proceed button.

Connect devices

The following step can be skipped by clicking the blue Proceed button. To add a device to a network after the initial setup, please refer to Help Center article XXXX.

Create an Egress Node

This step can also be skipped using the Skip for now option (highlighted in gray). To set up an egress node, please follow the Help Center article: XXXXX.

Initial Setup Complete

Once the initial setup is complete, you will be redirected to the following dashboard. For further configuration options, please refer to our other Help Center articles for Netmaker.
