Create a Backup

First, log in to the Customer Center with your credentials and open the Plesk Control Panel for the relevant server.

Create a Backup

Navigate to the subscription for which you want to create a manual backup.

Select the Backup and Restore button.

Then click the Create Backup menu item.

Select the content you want to include in this backup. In addition to the subscription configuration, you can select the following options:

  • Email messages (email inboxes)
  • User files (web server files)
  • Databases (MySQL databases)

Next, specify whether the manual backup should be full or incremental. If you select “Full,” a new, independent backup will be created, regardless of any existing server backups. If you select “Incremental,” only the changes made since the last full or incremental backup will be backed up.

Then click the “OK” button to start the backup task.

The Plesk backup task requires CPU resources and free disk space, which may cause a decrease in the performance of the websites hosted on the server while it is running. Therefore, before starting the backup task, make sure the server has sufficient CPU and disk resources.

Once the backup process has completed successfully, the backup will be available for restoration in the subscription’s Backup Manager.
