PHP releases

Each release branch of PHP is fully supported for two years from the first stable version. During this period, reported bugs and security issues are fixed and released in regular interim versions.

After this two-year period of active support, each branch will be supported for an additional year for critical security issues only. During this period, releases will be issued as required: Depending on the number of reports, there may be several point releases or none.
