PHP Releases

Every release branch of PHP receives full support for two years starting with the first stable version. During this period, reported bugs and security issues are fixed and released in regular interim versions.

After this two-year period of active support, each branch is supported for an additional year solely for critical security issues. During this period, releases are issued as needed: depending on the number of reports, there may be several point releases—or none at all.
