Manage individual Node.js versions in Plesk

Plesk provides the ability to easily manage Node.js versions with an extension called Note.js Toolkit, which allows you to install or remove all versions supported by Plesk.

Prerequisites

  • Plesk server
  • Node.js toolkit extension

    \

Node.js version overview

In the Plesk Control Panel of your server, navigate to Extensions via the left sidebar and select the My Extensions tab at the top. Use the Open button of the Node.js Toolkit extension to access the overview of available Node.js versions.

Install Node.js version

In the overview, you can install the corresponding Node.js version by clicking on the Install button.

Uninstall Node.js version

As long as a Node.js version is active, it must first be deactivated. To do this, uncheck the green box on the left-hand side of the version number.

If the Uninstall button remains grayed out, this is because this version is currently being used by one or more domains, see the Domains column on the right-hand side. To do this, you must set the Node.js version to another version in the corresponding subscriptions or deactivate Node.js for these. Uninstallation is then possible.

You can then remove the corresponding Node.js version using the Uninstall button.
