Managing Individual Node.js Versions in Plesk
Plesk offers an easy way to manage Node.js versions through an extension called the Node.js Toolkit, which allows you to install or remove any version supported by Plesk.
Prerequisites
- Plesk server
- Node.js Toolkit extension
Node.js Version Overview
In your server’s Plesk Control Panel, use the left sidebar to navigate to Extensions and select the top tab My Extensions. Click the Open button for the Node.js Toolkit extension to access the overview of available Node.js versions.
Install a Node.js Version
In the overview, you can install the corresponding Node.js version by clicking the Install button.
Uninstalling a Node.js Version
As long as a Node.js version is active, it must first be deactivated. To do this, first uncheck the green checkmark to the left of the version number.
If the Uninstall button remains grayed out, it’s because this version is currently being used by one or more domains; see the Domains column on the right. To resolve this, you must either change the Node.js version to a different one in the relevant subscriptions or disable Node.js for them. After that, you will be able to uninstall it.
You can then remove the corresponding Node.js version by clicking the Uninstall button.
