Operating system reinstallation

You can use the server reinstallation to restore your server to its factory state or install an alternative operating system, taking into account the identical server resources.

Reinstall server operating system

To change your server operating system, navigate to the server for which you want to carry out the reinstallation. Then select the menu item Settings → Reinstall.

In the next step, select the desired pre-installation and confirm the desired action by re-entering the server hostname and an SMS TAN.

Please note that reinstalling the server will delete all existing data, backups and snapshots. The reinstallation may take several minutes.

After the reinstallation has been completed, you will also receive a confirmation email.
