Domain transfer between creoline organizations
Foreword
If you would like to transfer an existing domain from your creoline organization to another creoline organization, you can carry out the necessary steps directly via our Customer Center.
Prerequisites
- Authorization to create auth codes / domain cancellations
- Authorization to remove the transfer lock (if required)
Transfer domain
Enter the relevant domain name in the domain registration search in the Customer Center and use the Transfer button to initiate the domain transfer.
It is then necessary to remove the transfer lock and enter the Auth-Code so that the internal transfer can be completed.
A regular domain transfer is also necessary for creoline-internal transfers, as this always changes the stored data of the domain owner.
Remove transfer lock
To remove the transfer lock of an existing domain, first navigate to the desired domain via the sidebar Domains → Portfolio → domain.tld.
For the "Transfer lock" entry, select the Change button to remove the transfer lock.
Then select the new status Unlocked and confirm your change using the Save changes button.
Please note that by removing the transfer lock, the domain may no longer be protected from transfer by third parties. Only remove the transfer lock if you actually want to transfer domains to another provider.
Request Auth-Code
After the transfer lock for the desired domain has been removed, you can request the Auth-Code or, if it is already stored, display the active Auth-Code. To do this, use the Request Auth-Code or Display Auth-Code button.
Send the Auth-Code to the owner of the target organization so that it can be stored in the shopping cart for the domain transfer. As soon as the Auth-Code has been entered and the necessary domain contacts have been entered, the transfer will be carried out.
