This article describes how to set up a new domain for sending and receiving via creoline Mail Protection.

The following requirements must be met in order to set up Mail Protection:

  • Domain must be registered via creoline
  • Domain zone must be managed via creoline
  • Domain must not have any DNS entries of type MX set up

Configure domain

Log in to the Customer Center at with your access data. Then select the menu item "E-Mail Protection" from the left sidebar. Click on "Add domain" to start the setup.

  • Domain

Target server

  • Destination port

The destination port determines the port via which incoming emails are to be delivered to your mail server. The default port is25. Please check the firewall configuration in advance to see whether delivery via the target port is blocked.

SPF setting

The SPF setting prevents external servers from sending emails on behalf of your domain. You can find a detailed explanation of the various SPF settings in this article.

  • Sign outgoing emails**

If this setting is activated, outgoing emails are automatically digitally signed using the DKIM process.
