Set up domain for receiving and sending
This article describes how to set up a new domain for sending and receiving via creoline Mail Protection.
Prerequisites
- Domain must be registered via creoline
- Domain zone must be managed via creoline
- Domain must not have any DNS entries of type MX set up
Configure domain
Log in to the Customer Center at account.creoline.de with your access data. Then select the menu item E-Mail Protection → Domains from the left sidebar. You can start the setup by clicking on "Protect domain".
-
Domain
Select the desired domain from the domain list for which you want to activate creoline Mail Protection.
Mode for incoming e-mails
By default, we recommend forwarding emails to the desired creoline server (destination server). Then select the server to which incoming emails are to be forwarded.
Alternatively, the option "Do not forward emails" (emails are not forwarded to any server) or an external mail server to which emails are forwarded can be defined.
-
Destination server
Specify the mail server that manages the email mailboxes. Here you can, for example, select the host name of your managed server or specify an external Exchange server, for example. (Mode: External mail server)

Complete setup
Once you have filled in all the fields, you can complete the setup using the "Protect domain" button. Please note that all necessary DNS entries for the domain are automatically set up during the setup process.
The DNS entries associated with E-Mail Protection cannot be edited manually.
If you want to delete the DNS entries, you must deactivate E-Mail Protection for the configured domain in the overview.
Which DNS entries are created automatically?
E-Mail Protection automatically creates the following DNS entries per domain during the setup process:
